Sooo, we began to study the most interesting is Metaphor!!! Some people think of metaphors as nothing more than sweet stuff of songs and poems- Love is a jewel or a rose. But in fact we all speak,write and use metaphors every day. They can't be avoided: metaphors are built right into our language. Metaphor is a wind, because we feel it, hear it, but can't see it. What I know about Metaphors is that it compares two objects/things without using the words "like" or "as". It makes our speech original and diverse. Semantically metaphors is divided into 2 groups: original and trite; Structurally metaphor: simple, prolonged and mixed.
Metaphor's subtypes are personification and metagoge.
I'd like to analyse this metaphor:
America is a melting pot it's like people become an American citizens, require them to read , rite and communicate in English only. It helps them to assimilate in American melting plot, truly to become Americans! They become a puzzle because of different people, different beliefs, different yearnings, hopes and dreams...
This metaphor is a simple, and I think that this metaphor is original, because I don't think that we often use it.
I wrote about this, because this theme is close to me. I visited the U.S.A. and I know how people act and how they think. If you are there million lights make you feel crazy, you like absorb into the maelstrom and become one of the big crowd of sleepless people. Travel, because our life is a journey.
